double digits

it's not uncommon to hear people say, "it goes by so fast", or "blink and they'll be grown".. but seriously- who knew that ten years would go by that fast. i certainly didn't. I think i'm still in a little bit of disbelief. Sunday was Seth's 10th birthday. He likes to laugh at me while i fake cry about my baby growing up. He tells me he's no longer my baby-boy, but my young-man. there will never be another single digit birthday for my little man. And as he and his two friends are having their birthday sleepover spectacular, the reminders that they are older than i'd like are a constant. Things that regular boys talk about, that i am so not ready for. Like noticing the scantily clad pop star on the cover of a magazine or movie title at the store- and we don't even want to go into where the conversation of "sperm whales" went. holy-moly i'm so not ready for this. just a few more years of innocence is all i ask..
